light rain out there, sal of course watching the roads for you, but first let's start with steve pallson, what do you see? >> i see a little bit of rain towards santa rosa and the russian river. otherwise it's cloudy. most locations say cloudy, a little bit of rain, some of it not showing up on the radar. it's below the radar beam and we'll continue to see just -- forestville has picked up 15/100 and santa rosa a tenth in 24 hours. it's a little bit. there is good rain to the north. it's definitely up towards the northern part of the state and there's a good stream of moisture taking aim at us today. a lot of that has to work its way in. favor the north bay maybe for the morning even though that's not much. you can see this cloud cover streaming in. later on for the morning commute, most people will not get rain on them. 50s on the temps and i don't expect those to change at all. there's plenty of moisture moving in. i wish there was a little more forcing or lift in the atmosphere, that would help, but north, yes, you get some rain. otherwise south bay may have to wait a long, long time.
. steve, the weather changing any? >> yes, it is. mondays high today 58 to 64 but that is not the bigger story. it will be the cloud cover finally working its way in here. pretty decent system right there. its tapped in moisture right there near hawaii. today we start off with patchy fog but very, very cool readings. 39 for napa. now a lot of 40s. livermore looking at 44 degrees. we will go for 63. 62 by 2:00. it will be cloudy. it cloud up here early in the afternoon. temperatures will definitely start total. san francisco not much different. 58 for a high today. it will start off with a little bit of sun but then it will get cloudy. increasing clouds. a little bit of patchy fog. generally some sun in the morning and clouds in the afternoon. rain by late this afternoon and leavening. rain to the north. highs today 50s and 60s and getting cloudy. here is sal. >>> steve, we are looking at the commute and for the most port it is nice. we do have that one major problem. let's start off with the toll plaza first. the traffic will be looking okay if you are driving approaching the toll plaza.

castanedo is keeping an eye on the slick roads. we begin with meteorologist, steve paulson. >> all right, tori. thank you. >>> well, as you know, this year has been bone-dry. we'll take any rain we can get. there's a little bit moving through. not a lot. these un-- unfortunately, it's not continue use. these are just bands. in marin county, napa county, very light kind of intermittent. it's heading towards over san pablo bay and towards concord, east bay, highway 4. again, there's not a lot here. you see the light green. this is kind of a mist. maybe might goat a pocket or two. vallejo has had .01. duncan mills, it's been raining off and on lightly for about two hours. it looks like they are on a little bit of a break. but the russian river, all of that rain sometimes doesn't show up on the river. there is a lot of cloud cover. unfortunately, you know when you got a good front. this is not a good front. it's a lot of overrunning rain. we don't have the lift to give us a good rainfall. it can stack up if it continues and that that would be the face to the north. a lot of 50s to the north
am dave clark. how cold will it be, steve? >> well, some areas are not mad at all. a couple high clouds may make it to the north, but mostly sunny today. 40s to 60s in livermore. the breezes are way up there. 60s for the most part for a high today. high clouds in the north. breezy in the hills. not as bad as yesterday. temperatures will inch upwards. kind of tough this time of year. the benefit of a north wind helping a few locations. if you are already starting off near 60 degrees, as long as that breeze holds, low to mid 70s. 60s by the bay. here is sal. >>> good morning, steve and everybody. we are looking at the commute and it looks good if you are driving in many areas enforcement major problems except for one, the livermore valley if you are coming in from the tracy triangle there. is a crash there. it has been there for at least a half hour. traffic is going to be slow coming in. they had all the freeway blocked for a brief time. the three right lanes were blocked for almost the entire half hour to 40 minutes now. we are inviting to you take extra time for your commut
. >> and good morning, i'm dave clark. lots to talk about with weather and traffic. let's go to steve. >> absolutely. wind advisory 40-50 miles an hour. stronger up in the hills. i've seen 60. its a northerly breeze. it will turn more north easterly. petaluma 55 miles an hour. fairfield 53. half-moon bay 44. the oakland hills 63. at last check 56. livermore up to 36 miles an hour gust. napa 24. you can see its all out of the north, northeast. as long as that holds there will be temperatures -- there will be warmer temperatures in the north bay. if it wasn't for the breeze, these would be much, much colder. tomorrow morning ordinary person sunday morning they will collapse inland to some 30s. this is extremely dry air mass. its all down here. that is the reason why its so windy. as that low slowly moves to the east, the winds will decrease gradually. so our wednesday system has moved in. high pressure has moved into the north and it fills it with that wind. i'll tell you north, northeast wind helps some. so windy, sunny today. chilly to mild on these highs. breezy all day or blustery.

by tomorrow. the driest year ever. look for temperatures in the 50s and 60s. here's sal. >>> steve, good morning. we're looking at a commute that's just average. some areas are not doing well. but others are better. it's kind of averaging out into an okay commute. for example, if you look at 880 here, it's looking pretty good near the coliseum heading up to downtown oakland. when you get to the bay bridge, we don't have a super-huge backup. it's backed up for a little bit. the 880 ramps are the best way to get there, especially if you have fastrack, you will be able to bypass a lot of that traffic. 580, that's a different story. 580 in livermore has been slow the entire way from the altamont pass all the way through. we had a crash on 680. that has traffic backed up into san ramon, heading south towards pleasanton. it gets better if you are on the road after pleasanton. but the traffic is not that bad on 680 and fremont. 101 southbound near belmont we've had a series of collisions. 7:03. back to the desk. >>> all right. thank you, sal. >>> police in santa rosa are asking for the public's
